Q&A with Jesse
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Pasadena, CA.
What did you study in college?
I graduated from Biola University for undergrad in 2022. I majored in Communications, with an emphasis in Organizational Communications and a Minor in Biblical and Theological Studies.
After my undergrad years, I then graduated from Concordia University Irvine from their Masters program in Coaching and Athletic Administration in the Spring of 2025.
What is your favorite place to eat in Irvine?
Poki Bowl, just down the street from campus, has the freshest fish that I have ever had in a poke bowl (besides Hawaii), and it is the best-tasting poke spot in Irvine!
What do you like to do with your free time?
I absolutely love going on long walks with my girlfriend in the evening, I enjoy playing golf, cooking for my family and friends, and learning about new foods from different cultures.
What advice do you have for students going through the admissions process?
My advice is to always take a campus tour and get a feel for the environment, connect with current students to get a sense of the community, and really think about how you can see yourself in a community for four years to thrive, grow, and flourish afterwards—once all is said and done.
