Educational Administration Specialization

The Educational Administration specialization within the Ed.D. in Leadership program prepares educators to lead with vision, purpose, and integrity. Designed for both aspiring and current administrators, this specialization builds the knowledge and skills needed to manage people, resources, and systems that support learning for all students.

Featured courses include Strategic Human Resource Management and Development and Sustained Fiscal Leadership for Organizational Effectiveness. Students then choose one of the following: Special Topics in Educational Administration or California Preliminary Administrative Credential Examination (CPACE) Preparation. The CPACE Preparation course is specifically designed to equip California educators with the knowledge and skills to successfully pass the CPACE exam.

While this specialization does not include the California Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC), it provides the leadership foundation and targeted preparation for California educators pursuing the credential independently through the CPACE pathway.

Graduates of this specialization include educators preparing to advance into administrative leadership roles as well as current administrators seeking to strengthen their expertise through advanced doctoral study.
